Social innovators confronted with resilience
Once the key is tossed only the pliers can open the lock. This resilience is shaping social innovators. With their innovations, social innovators are attempting to change the world sustainably to become a better place – and they are often being met with resistance.
To investigate how people and organizations in the context of social innovations learn how to acquire this resistance without becoming ignorant is the focus of this project.

The term „resilience“ plays a central role in the entrepreneurship research. The term is not often discussed in the context of social entrepreneurs.
Social entrepreneurs solve societal problems in entrepreneurial fashion by developing social innovations and making them scaleable. Social innovations create a benefit through changed behavioral patterns in consumers of in the production of a product or service. Social entrepreneurs can create a common good, if they are resilient in order to react positively to critical comments.
Resilience is a virtue or a process a social entrepreneur ideally is equipped with in order to overcome difficult situations successfully.
